Before anyone climbs

How to hire residential tree work here

This directory lists crews. It does not employ, bond, or guarantee them. Ask these yourself.

Can I see an insurance certificate?

Ask before anyone climbs or drops wood on your lot. We mark a row "not stated" unless they showed us a certificate. We do not insure them.

ISA on the public page?

An ISA chip here only means a public page named ISA. Ask who holds the credential and whether that person is on your job.

Removal, prune, or storm?

Those are different jobs and different prices. Get the scope in writing, including stump and haul-away.

Who is in the tree?

Owner-op, crew, or subcontract. That is their answer, not ours.

Permits?

Cities differ on significant trees. Confirm with the city. Not legal advice.

WA contractor registration?

Production tree work often sits under contractor rules. Homework: lni.wa.gov and business.wa.gov. Not legal advice.
